Zaragoza is an international transport hub with its newly renovated airport only 9 km from the city, with a complete network of roads and motorways and with a rail service that offers a High Speed Rail link that gets you to Madrid or Barcelona in little over an hour.
The city´s urban transport service is being increased with the reintroduction of the tram that will connect the newer districts to the city´s old quarter.
The city has a range of facilities that make it a reference as a City of Meetings, also thanks to its two conference centres, the Auditorium and the Expo Aragon Congress Centre.
The number of hotel rooms was increased for Expo 2008 and currently stands at 10,500 after the opening of 10 new high-quality hotels. Zaragoza continues to increase the number of exhibition centres with the construction of the new Caixa Forum as a landmark building within the Digital Mile project. Added to this, there will be a new football stadium and other new business facilities built in the metropolitan area.
